More about Mel as a Darwin Wedding Photographer

Darwin Wedding Photographer Mel originally studied the fundamentals of photography at high school in 2003, developing her own film and printing black & white images in the dark room. Mel is a National Award Winning Photographer and is listed as an accredited professional with the AIPP.

Mel became an accredited member of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) in 2012.
NT AIPP Travel Photographer of the year 2016
Mel has travelled to destinations such as Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Sunshine Coast, Hobart and even Las Vegas to learn and work alongside industry leaders. This has enabled her to develop her own unique style of photography in Darwin. Mel appreciates all of her mentors so much, especially her Dad, Darwin Photographer David Silva.
